Vendange

Every year at autumm’s dawn, for centuries, grapes are harvested throughout France. The following three photos were taken in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France in mid-September 2012.

The grapes were plump, the sun was immense.

Vine leaves burned on 50-year old stalks.

Bundles of pristine fruit waiting to be crushed…
